Description
While simulation racers have traditionally found their home on the PC, FlatOut Ultimate Carnage blurs the line between arcade and simulation, offering PC gamers a “Deathproof” experience in which more than 8,000 persistent objects per track will throw their car off-course and into last place. With an average of 20,000 polygons per car, expect bodywork to get mashed up quickly. There are eight full offline game modes including Career Race, Time Trial, Carnage Race, Beat The Bomb, Last Man Standing, Deathmatch Derby, Multiplayer Party Mode, and the favorite Ragdoll Mini Games.
FlatOut Ultimate Carnage fully embraces Games for Windows LIVE functionality, offering a wide variety of online modes, including the Head On mode, where racers have to get to the end of the track, turn around and avoid their oncoming opponents on the return leg.
Features
- FlatOut Ultimate Carnage’s peerless real world physics engine combines vehicles built from 40+ deformable parts with over 8000 destructible objects per track – more than any other Xbox 360™ game.
- Choose from various racing styles to suit your mood and preferences:
- Career racing: Compete in progressively tougher championships wrecking your way through threeclasses to become the ultimate FlatOut champion.
- Arcade racing: Deathmatch Destruction Derbies, time trials and crash-filled challenges.
- Highly competitive racing against 12 drivers in single player modes from a choice of 48 cars on 39 tracks in six different environments. Wreck your way across parched deserts, massive storm drains and narrow city streets.
- Up to eight driver online multiplayer including all single player modes plus exclusive Deathmatch Derbies and Head On race modes. High score tables for all game modes for you to check just how destructive you are.
- Hilarious Ragdoll characters catapulted in-race and in 12 crunching mini-games. The Ragdoll – unique to the FlatOut franchise – can be catapulted through your windscreen or, even better, another driver’s windscreen as he is wrecked out of the race. The Ragdoll character can also be used as a launching object in a series of unique mini-games including basketball, bowling, rings of fire and more.
- Stunning cars, objects and environments: See every scratch and dent all with real-time environment mapping to create a grittier realistic appearance. Dynamic shadow maps for every 3D object on the track including buildings, scenery and cars making all movement exceptionally smooth. Improved particle effects including dust, dirt, smoke, water splashes and bouncing sparks. Don’t get distracted!
