The most successful arcade shooter that influenced and revolutionized the video game industry invades Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360. As part of the series’ 30th anniversary celebration, Taito is reinventing the classic with new graphics and features, while retaining the vintage charm of the beloved iconic characters and gameplay. Space Invaders Extreme captures all the action and excitement of the classic arcade game with faster, more intense gameplay to maximize performance and bring back the addiction. New features include mid-game bonus rounds for varied and challenging gameplay and vibrant 3D graphics. Players can immerse themselves in music and sound effects that synchronize with the controller and gameplay.

The simple and addictive game -- once comprised of two players taking turns -- can now be played together with or against up to four players. Battle against friends in the online multiplayer Score Attack mode, ward off rounds of alien invasions together in Arcade or Endless co-op modes, and compete side-by-side for the highest score in Survivor mode.
