NCAA Football 09 Preview
Last year’s NCAA Football 2008 offered some great improvements and stood out as the strongest entry to the franchise in a long while. Now the next entry in the series is getting ready for release, carrying the momentum from last year’s game while bringing some new features to the table. Among the new elements in NCAA Football 2009 are improved animations and graphics, custom stadium sounds, and the biggest new feature, online dynasties. NCAA Football 2009 is shaping up to be a fine entry into the franchise, and should be one that fans will want to look out for.
Online dynasties are the big new thing in NCAA Football 2009, offering the same amount of depth and all the features of the single-player dynasties, but also allowing 12 users to play through the experience together. The online dynasty is a great new addition to NCAA Football, and should be one of the biggest features of the game when it ships.
Another new feature this time around is the ability to import your own stadium sounds. You can tweak these in the menu, selecting certain events (like touchdowns) that would trigger the sound and importing it to the game. This is a great feature to help you personalize the game a bit, although it unfortunately is exclusive to offline gameplay.
Additionally, the game has an almost RPG-like sensibility when it comes to your quarterback as they can get rattled by bad plays, or they can get built up by having a home field advantage, playing worse or better, respectively.
Graphically, the game will feature improved animations and graphics over last year’s game. While the franchise had already established itself with extremely accurate stadiums and atmosphere, this year will up the ante with even more detail, and features like updated weather conditions for online gamers, adding a nice touch.
NCAA Football 2009 is shaping up quite nicely, giving online fans a lot to love this year.
