Broadjam Teams with Konami to Find New Dance Dance Revolution Songs
Broadjam.com, one of the world’s largest independent music sites, announced today that it will team with acclaimed video game publisher Konami to find new songs for their hit Dance Dance Revolution series.
Members of Broadjam.com will be able to upload their music and submit it to Konami starting January 15th through February 28th, 2007. With Broadjam’s unique song contest system, fans and musicians will be able to review the songs submitted and give their opinion on how the songs rate.
When the reviews close on March 7th, the results from the contest will determine which songs are presented to Konami. Two winners will be selected with each person receiving a cash prize as well as the opportunity to have their music featured in future iterations of the Dance Dance Revolution series releasing in 2007.
“Last year’s contest was a smashing success. Broadjam’s experience, and vast membership, allowed us to find unique music that really matched our game,” said Stillwind Borenstein, Music Director for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “I’m very pleased and excited to be working with Broadjam again.”
With over 60,000 members and an online catalogue of more than 200,000 original songs, Broadjam’s huge variety of quality artists ensures that Konami will be able to choose from the best content available.
“We’re thrilled that Konami has found so much great music on Broadjam for their products,” said Roy Elkins, Founder and CEO of Broadjam. “We’re honored to work with Konami again and we look forward to finding the next great songs for their innovative Dance Dance Revolution products.”
