Quirky Japanese games have long been the bread and butter of many importers and collectors, but the average gamer would usually have a tough time getting a hold of them and spending the astronomical fees for rare imported games. However, if they’re looking for something very weird and quirky to sink their teeth into, they should have no problem with these games, which were released stateside:

 

Gitaroo-Man
Part action story and part rhythm game, Gitaroo Man's crazy visuals and quirky gameplay put it in a league of its own.
No More Heroes
The creators of the crazy Killer 7 release their first Wii game, which is just as violent, strange, and downright absurd (lawnmowing mini-game?!) as its predecessor.
Irritating Stick
Irritating Stick's name was just as weird as its gameplay, requiring you to navigate a stick through an electrified metal maze.

Killer 7 is probably the strangest game I ever played. Wario Ware Smooth Moves is a good one as well but I still can't get Kille...
